Dear Folks,

A reminder that we are now CLOSED WEDNESDAYS, starting today, so we can have a somewhat more sane life. Thanks for your support and or acceptance of this. It will be good for us.

This Friday, September 16 we are delighted to welcome back Mack Finkel for a free concert from 7-9 p.m. Mack is a 15 year old cellist, guitarist, harmonica playing folk and folk pop singer who first played at the shop last year and wowed everyone with his one man band rendition of great folk songs and contemporary music. He got lots of admiring notice from his fellow musicians at our Walk a Palooza concert this summer. Mack stopped by earlier this week and told me he was expanding his repertoire to include cello playing to accompany his singing.  The weather looks very fall-ish on Friday night so bring a chair and or a blanket and a picnic and join us.

This Sunday we will be part of the fun at the Mt. Airy Village Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Carpenter Lane and Greene St. We live with Cynthia's mom Dorothy Guy, one of the founders of Weaver's Way Coop, on Carpenter Lane and will set up a book booth in our driveway. The best news is that we will bring Togo out to stretch his scales and get held by admiring herp lovers. Stop by and say hello and meet Togo, check out our books, and let's talk about the possibility of re-opening Borders, the subject of my last blog.

Hope to see you

Greg and Cynthia
